What makes the E2 Portable?

The E2 is lightweight and compact, it easily fits into the palm of a hand. Concurrently its able to charge of up to 22 kW while remaining portable! How does it achieve this? The E2 is built to be modular from the charging gun to the power input cable.

What part is unique to the E2’s modularity that makes it portable?

The input cable of the E2 is a CEE 5 5-pin plug that’s designed for industrial loads. Inherently, this allows for the E2 to be plugged into any CEE 5-pin socket to charge up to 22 kw. However, don’t let the absence of the CEE 5-pin socket become a dread as it’s also functional through the 3 plug adapter that’s given free when you purchase the E2 with us.

All that’s needed is a 3-pin socket similar to the one in an average household. Next, plug in the 3-pin plug adapter to the wall socket. If it so happens that a wall socket is far from the charging point, then using a high-quality extension cord should suffice. Then, proceed to attach the 5 pin CEE plug to the adapters. Turn on the power source and it’ll blink red initially.

Controlling Load Current With App

Head over to the app store and download the TUYA app. Once downloaded, have the E2 Charger establish the connection via your internet connection. Setting this up will allow for the control of the current received by the E2 EV Charger. Set the load current to a maximum of 10 Amps for portable charging.

This is due to how limited the 3-pin plug’s fuse is capable of protecting at only 13 Amps. The extension cord that you’re using is usually running a thinner wire, hence it’s better to drop it down less than 13 Amps.

Initiate And Finalize Portable Charging

Now the E2 EV Charger is set to charge, just plug in the Charging Gun Cable into the EV and tap the RFID reader with one of the given cards for RFID. Observe that the EV is charging correctly through the app of the EV’s proprietary app. The app allows for scheduled charging, meaning that the charging session can be timed according to how much battery is needed.
